Stoops Happy with Kentucky Wildcats' Spring

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Kentucky wrapped up its spring football workouts on Friday night with the annual Blue-White Game at Commonwealth Stadium.

The Blue squad, comprised mainly of the starters and other players atop the depth chart, posted a 31-14 win over the White team in front of a crowd estimated at 30,000.

Junior running back Sihiem King rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries to lead the Blue. Redshirt freshman linebacker Jamar "Boogie" Watson was one of the defensive standouts with six tackles and four sacks splitting time between the two squads.

Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops says the Wildcats made "great strides" over the spring, culminating with the Blue team's 31-14 win over the White squad.
