Fans of Kentucky Wildcats should like NCAA's reveal of future tourney sites

Several future NCAA Tournament sites close to UK fan base.

The NCAA on Tuesday announced sites for its men's basketball tournament for 2019-22.

Kentucky fans have reason to be excited about the news with several locations being in close proximity to the state.

In 2019, a pod of first- and second-round games will be held in Columbus, Ohio, with one of the regionals played at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville.

In 2020, pods of first- and second-round games will be held in St. Louis and Cleveland, with the closest regional played in Indianapolis.

In 2021, Lexington's Rupp Arena will play host to first- and second-round action, although the Wildcats will not be eligible to play on their home court. Detroit is the closest potential destination for UK. The regional round will include Memphis, where the Cats played in this year's Sweet 16 and Elite Eight.

In 2022, Cincinnati will be one of the first- and second-round sites. Another pod will be held in UK head coach John Calipari's old Pittsburgh stomping grounds. Chicago will be the closest regional. The Final Four that season will return to New Orleans, where the Cats won their eighth national championship in 2012.
