LEXINGTON, Ky. --- Kentucky senior Tayshaun Prince has been named to The Associated Press preseason All-America team.
The 6-foot-9 forward was the Southeastern Conference Player of the Year and a second-team All-America selection as a junior when he averaged 16.9 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.
Prince is the lone senior on the first team. The Compton, Calif., native is joined on the unit by Duke's Jason Williams, Stanford's Casey Jacobsen, Missouri's Kareem Rush and Illinois' Frank Williams. The Blue Devils' Jason Williams was a unanimous selection, the first player on every ballot since Tim Duncan in 1996.
