Lamar is a 6' 3 ½" 195 Shooting guard from Las Vegas, NV. Lamar is quite possibly the most skilled shooting guard in this class. Now he may not be the best shooter or best passer, or the best rebounder but he does each aspect of the game very well.
He has the size and scoring ability of a shooting guard, and the court sense and passing ability of a point guard. He's just an average athlete, but if his athleticism improves, he could be among the few best in the west in his class. He played strong at the 2003 TOC in North Carolina.
Falley, who is currently ranked the #2 shooting guard in the west coast class of 2005, has been hearing quite a bit from any schools around the country – and have had some coaches already come out to watch him play.
"I've been hearing from Kansas, Kentucky, UCLA, Connecticut, Arizona, Louisville, and California pretty well," Falley said. "I've also heard from North Carolina, but not as much as the others. And it hasn't been just plain letters but hand-written letters, so I think that means more than just a form letter."
Falley said that coaches from Utah, USC, UCLA and Oregon came to Las Vegas during the recent contact period to watch him work out. "Yeah, it was great to have all the coaches come see me this early," Falley said.
With all of his early favorites outside of the west, Falley said he has no problem with going far away from home for college. "It's an experience, and going away would be good for you."
He said he has a 3.0 GPA and just recently took the PSAT.
The Insiders has Lamar at 36, The Geeks have him at 53.
