The Player of the Week award for the baseball team goes to Kalen Gibson.

On Friday, Gibson pitched a gem, throwing 8 2/3rds of one hit baseball to beat #7 Auburn, 8-0.

The sophomore from Webster County is now 2-0 on the season and could perhaps be the answer to the long standing question as to who is going to be Kentucky's number one starter this year.

-Cats have now won 6 of their last 8 games heading into Wednesday's matchup against Marshall.

-Kentucky won its first road series since 2000.

-First time Auburn has been shut out at home in 190 games, dating back to 1998

-Caleb Stewart extending his hitting streak to 18 games.

-Cats now sit at 14-6 on the year and 2-1 in the SEC.

-Florida, heads into Lexington, having won 16 of their last 18 games. They took 2 of three from Arkansas this past weekend.
