Cats Lose to Thundering Herd 6-2

Mid-week struggles continue for BatCats.

The Kentucky Wildcat baseball team continued their struggles in mid-week games, losing to Marshall, 6-2, Wednesday night at Cliff Hagan Stadium.

The Thunder Herd scored 4 runs in the eighth to open up a 2-1 game, finishing the Cats chances at winning their seventh game in nine chances.

Caleb Stewart extended his hitting streak to 19 games, as he doubled in the first inning. UK sophomore Andrew Levenson hit a homerun in the bottom of the ninth to try and stage a rally, but that was for naught, as the Cats went in order from that point.

UK returns to action on Friday against Florida. First pitch starts at 6:30 pm at Cliff Hagan Stadium. Reigning SEC Pitcher of the Week Kalen Gibson will start for Kentucky.
