Tyler Smith Not Afraid to Lead

TN small forward wooing the coaches with his 27 points, 9 rebounds, 5 steals, 5 assists and 3 blocks per game.

Tyler Smith

Tyler is one of the most gifted players I have seen in some time. Tyler is a 6'6" 200 SF from Pulaski, TN (Giles County HS). Tyler is slender built, but is strong as well. Just when you think you have him he can either out muscle you for position or out quick you.

Not to be outdone, Tyler is also a team oriented player. He gets his teammates involved. He is not afraid to be the leader even though he is a junior. He realizes that he is the man at Giles County.

He has a deft jumper all the way to the 3-point line. Very consistent from 8-16. Excellent FT shooter as well, to go along with the other shooting. Tyler also is very good on the defensive end. He is not afraid of anyone, usually drawing the toughest assignment. But to be fair Tyler has to carry his team, and they would not be any where near their success without him.

He is averaging 27 ppg, 9 rpg, 5 spg, 5 apg, and 3 bpg this season.

Needless to say a player of his caliber is being recruited by the big boys with earnest. Tennessee and Vanderbilt have offered. But also, Kansas, UCLA, and Alabama are showing great interest. Kentucky and Louisville have expressed interest.

Tyler is ranked 9th in the Insiders, and The GEEKS have him 10th.
