Jamaal Cooper, a 6-foot-5, 305-pound defensive tackle from Montgomery (Ala.) Robert E. Lee High School, is getting attention from Kentucky among other SEC schools.
"I have scholarship offers from UAB and Middle Tennessee State," he said. "Other schools like Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky and Mississippi State are just waiting on my test score. I want to stay on defense and play defensive tackle. I am strong and play the run well."
Cooper bench presses 365 pounds and squats 550.
Right now, he claims he is open between Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, Mississippi State, UAB and Middle Tennessee State.
Cooper has 75 tackles and 12 sacks on the year. He has been to football games at Auburn and Troy State this season. Cooper camped at UAB last summer.
