As the BORING NBA continues, it reminds me how much I miss Bird and McHale, Malone and Erving, Barkley, and Jordan.
If the NBA doesn't get its act together, the NHL will pass them in popularity. The NBA stinks.
I would much rather watch the Stanley Cup playoffs than the NBA. Watching Martin St. Louis, Brad Roberts, Martin Gelanas, Jarome Iginla, shows what real athleticism is about.
The Tyler Hansbrough recruitment is more a normal recruiting battle, than abnormal. Tyler is a great kid and I wish him well, wherever he goes. I, of course, would rather see him in Lexington, but I am not going to go into hibernation if he chooses Kansas.
I will try to understand him choosing UNC, although after living here in Carolina for 2 years now, I certainly CANNOT understand it.
As the football season approaches, I am looking more and more forward to it. More so this year, than I was last year.
College football is where it is at, to find real fans, real fun (tailgating, enjoying the game, meeting fans, etc.). I can't think of a more enjoyable event.
As for the games, it is more enjoyable in my opinion to watch a basketball game. The action is more continuous and electrifying.
As I look for new permanent employment, I have had time to recollect on my life and folks there is a lot more important things than discussing sports 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
I miss going to work everyday. I am really getting anxious, although I know it takes engineers longer to find permanent work than others. But it is still bothersome.
MASH was the greatest TV show produced.
Citizen Kane was the greatest Movie produced.
As I think about President Reagan after his passing this weekend, I surmize that the Republicans will call him the greatest, but the democrats will be generous in their praise but quietly be glad that their greatest opponent is now gone.
President Reagan was a sports fan, but he enjoyed it as we all should; in moderation and for the fun.
He loved his wife and family. He also loved this country. Thank you President Reagan for your service to it.
I will be in Sopranos withdrawal for a while now. I need the box set.
Is there anything worse than daytime television? Yeech.
Regis and Kelly?
Old reruns of ER?
Please God, find me a job.
