How bout Johnnie Walker in blue?

That is the sentiment coming from Georgia, as the Wildcats are hot on the trail of another Georgia defensive prospect in Roswell (GA) native, Johnnie Walker.

Walker, who plays for Centennial High School, made an unofficial visit to UK in the spring.

"Jonnie had a great time with Coach Brooks and Joker in the spring when we went up there," Johnnie Walker, Sr. told Inside Kentucky today.

"We're real excited about Kentucky."

"We took a tour of the academic facilities and we loved what we saw."

According to Walker, Sr., the family also took in visits to Louisville and Indiana during the spring.

"Indiana and Louisville were nice, but Kentucky was a little better."

As far as summer plans are concerned, the 6-foot-3 prospect is expected to attend some senior camps in hope of garnering his first scholarship offer.

"We are still waiting for that first offer."

"He's got Alabama camp, and Kentucky camp the weekend after."

"I would tend to think he wants to stay in the South. He has lived here his whole life. "

"Kentucky and Alabama would be the schools to beat. I know he loves both of them."

According to his father, Walker has been getting lots of calls and letters from college coaches and the interest continues to get better.

"We got a few calls in May from schools like Southern Mississippi and Wisconsin."

"Coaches really like him because of his size. He's at 6'3 210, but we have a very athletic family, so he's gonna get bigger. Both his sisters were athletes at Georgia."
