Janikowski clone to camp at UK

At a recent MSL camp in Cincinnati, a pair of kickers stole the show early. Among those that did was a Sebastian Janikowski clone in Hopewell, Pennsylvania native, Anthony Piccirilli. See what the senior-to-be had to say his latest update about Kentucky and recruiting in general.

Among the most impressive players at the recent MSL combine in Cincinnati was Kicker/Punter prospect, Anthony Piccirilli from Hopewell, Pennsylvania.

The soccer style kicker has been hitting the camp scene hard this summer and recently returned from Notre Dame, where he was very complimentary.

"Just got home from Notre Dame, everything there went well," Piccirilli said. "I kicked very well and the special teams' coach told he was extremely impressed."

The Aliquippa (PA) native had 12 touchbacks and a punt average of 44.8 last season. His longest field goal was an amazing 65 yards in practice.

"The coaching staff is first class from head coach Ty Will (Tyrone Willingham) to the graduate assistants."

The senior-to-be assured Inside Kentucky, his visit to Notre Dame would not be his last, this summer.

"I'll be at Pitt, Wvu, Northwestern, Michigan, Kentucky, Syracuse, Georgia for invited 1 day workout camps," Piccirilli continued.

"I'll also probably take an unofficial to Marshall and Ohio State in July."

"If I have time, I'll possibly head down to Miami (FL) or Iowa for unofficials."

Piccirilli is still in search of his first offer, but that is not uncommon for kickers at this time of year.

"Still, no offers yet, hopefully something will come up shortly."

Stay tuned to Inside Kentucky for the latest on this Pennsylvania kicking stud.
