Jamar White, a DE from Harvey, Ill., may be watching this weekend's UK-IU game closely...

With Chris Demaree departing this season and Dennis Johnson and Otis Grigsby entering their senior seasons in 2002, defensive end is a key recruiting area for the Kentucky staff.

One player on the Wildcats' radar is Jamar White (6-3, 235, 4.6) from Harvey, Ill. He plays for one of the top programs in the state, Thornton Township High School, and recorded 105 tackles and five sacks as a senior. He had 120 tackles, six interceptions and five sacks in his junior season.

He may be keeping a close eye on the Wildcats' season finale this week at Bloomington, Ind.

"I'm going to Indiana on December 7th." he said. "I also have a visit set with Kentucky for December 14th. Toledo has offered me a scholarship but I haven't set up a visit with them yet."
