Wake Forest and Kentucky Lead For Ga. Cornerback

The Kentucky coaching staff has apparently made it a point to hit Marietta (GA) very hard this recruiting season. After already offering Mam Nyang and Richie Rich from Wheeler High School, the Cats were quick to jump on a chance to offer their talented teammate as well.

"I like Kentucky a lot," Boyd Coleman told Inside Kentucky, Tuesday night. "They want me at corner, and that's where I like to play."

Coleman is one of the fastest athletes in the state of Georgia, clocking in at 4.39 on theInsiders clock.

"Akron, Middle Tennessee, Jacksonville State, and Kentucky have all offered me," the senior-to-be said. "There are two others, but I can't think of them right now."

As a junior, Coleman had four interceptions for the Wheeler High School Wildcats. He ran the shuttle in 4.35 seconds and has a 33.5 inch vertical jump to go along with his extremely fast 40 time of 4.35.

"My favorites right now are Kentucky and Wake Forest."

"Wake Forest is talking about letting me return kicks and I would really like to do that," the 5-foot-11 cornerback explained. "A lot of the big schools want to see more game-film on me before making a decision on offering."

The 170-pound athlete also boasts a 285-pound bench press and 405-pound squat. He has been projected as a safety/cornerback prospect.

"I could make a decision as early as possible or I could wait until the off-season. I don't really know right now."

"In the end, I am gonna pick the school that gives me the best opportunity."
