Kentucky never seems at a loss for athletic prospects and this year is no different, as they have offered a handful of guys that could play anywhere from running back to defensive back at the next level.
One of those star athletes is Javon Ringer, whom was runner up for Mr. Football in Ohio as a junior.
"I'm still wide open right now," Ringer told Inside Kentucky. "I don't have a leader at this time."
With a handful of offers to choose from including Tennessee, Miami (OH), Michigan State, and Kentucky, the talented running back will have some large schools to choose from. And now they have apparently gotten even bigger an offer coming in from Ron Zook's Gators.
"My newest offer kind of complicates things though," Ringer said of his offer from Florida. "I am excited about it cause I really didn't think anybody down there knew about me."
"I think it would be a real good experience for me to go down there."
The Dayton (OH) native ran for 2,356 yards and 30 touchdowns last year in sharing duties at running back. He is projected as a defensive back in college as well.
"I'm just trying to take it one step at a time," Ringer said. "That way their is no pressure on me."
Asked about whether or not Kentucky is still in the running; "Yeah definitely," Ringer stated. "I like Kentucky too, they are up there."
Ringer also states that Ohio State has been in contact and that they will be a contender for his services if they offer.
