E-Town Tight End Has Cats in Top 5

Inside Kentucky was first to report the scholarship offer to Zipp Duncan last month by the Wildcat coaching staff. Tuesday, IK caught up with the Elizabethtown star to check in on his recruitment.

"I went to West Virginia, Alabama, and Tennessee for one day camps," said Duncan. "My Top 5 right now is Kentucky, Louisville, Cincinnati, Alabama, and Marshall."

The Wildcats have never really been considered as a top candidate to steal the Elizabethtown High School star, but after having offered him last month, Duncan appears to have gained more interest in them.

"I know a lot about their University," Duncan stated. "My sister attends college there, so I have been there many times. I know a lot about their campus.

Zipp spoke about the other schools in his top five:

Louisville - "It's about 45 minutes from my house. I've been there a lot to see the campus, and I've been there for some games too."

Cincinnati (offer)- "The coaches have told me that I could come in and play early. They are recruiting me real hard."

Alabama - "I like the coaches down there a lot. I took an unofficial visit there in May to the school, and the coaches really made me feel important. They've already asked me to come down for anothre visit."

Marshall (offer)- "They are really recruiting me hard. They were the first team to offer me."

Duncan is definitely keeping his options open, and if he has a leader among his favorites, he is doing a good job of keeping his feelings close to the vest.
