"Most schools are recruiting me as a defensive end, but they (Kentucky) are recruiting me as a linebacker."
Kelly has offers from Kentucky, Virginia Tech, and South Carolina.
"I'd say things are looking good for Kentucky," Kelly said. "They have always been around our school from the beginning. Coach Phillips has been coming here for years and they were the first to offer."
Kelly's teammates DeMoreo Ford and Tray Blackmon currently hold offers from Kentucky. In addition, running back Justin Patterson and linebacker Travis Hart are currently under evaluation.
"They've been recruiting us all a lot and we've been talking about how cool it would be if we would end up going to school together."
Ford, whose cousin Quentin McCord played for Kentucky under Hal Mumme, has only recently had an offer from the Wildcats.
"DeMoreo's always talking about Kentucky. He wants us all to go."
Kelly had a great season last year for the Grangers, racking up 100 solo tackles, 55 assists, 19 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, and two fumble recoveries in helping LaGrange win the state championship.
"I like Virginia Tech alot too though," the 225 pound monster proclaimed. "They are a top team program almost every year and they play some big time football there."
Auburn and Georgia round out his top five, but neither has offered although it appears that Auburn will most likely extend an offer before the winter.
"I have always wanted to go to Georgia since I was a little kid. They have a great program and Coach Richt is a great coach."
