Cats' Moore named to Freshman All-SEC Team

Ellery Moore was named to the coaches' Freshman All-SEC Team on Thursday...

LEXINGTON, Ky. --- Kentucky's Ellery Moore was named to the coaches' freshman All-SEC team on Thursday.

Moore, a defensive tackle from Massillon, Ohio, recorded 21 tackles this season as a part-time starter. He had 4 1/2 tackles for loss, four quarterback hurries and 1 1/2 sacks.

His season was cut short by a knee injury on Nov. 3 at Mississippi State. He had surgery to repair a torn MCL and detatched meniscus.

Last year, Kentucky placed four players on the freshman All-SEC team: receiver Derek Abney, offensive lineman Antonio Hall, defensive lineman Dewayne Robertson and running back Chad Scott.
