Next Commitment for UK? Bama star says he is close

Its been real quiet on the commitment front, but that might change in a couple of weeks according to some sources in Alabama. That's because two Wildcat prospects are very close to committing before the month is over. One of them talked to TheInsiders today...

Earl Bennett is a 6-0, 200 lb., 4.65, Athlete from West End High School in Birmingham, Alabama. Bennett is close to committing to the Kentucky Wildcats.

"My decision will come before the end of this month. I am taking an unofficial visit to Kentucky this weekend and I think I will make a commitment," said Bennett.

"I have not received any other offers. I am also considering Auburn, Vanderbilt, and Alabama. I am also starting to like Louisville," Bennett added.

In July, Bennett attended Auburn's camp and left impressed.

"It went really well. I talked to Coach Price and Coach Knox. It is a really nice school. If they were to offer, I would be very high on them," said Bennett.

Bennett has stayed busy on the phone with several coaches.

"I called Coach Price at Auburn, Coach Caldwell at Vanderbilt, Coach Brown at Kentucky, and Coach Whitt at Louisville."

Though Bennett may commit to the Wildcats, he is still planning to attend several games this fall.

"I am going to go to an Auburn game. I will probably go to a Louisville game, and I will go to a few Alabama games," said Bennett.

Bennett is ready to begin his senior season.

"Everything has been going well. We are going to be really good this year. I don't think we are playing a fall jamboree game. Our first game is against Ensley at Ensley."
