Barber Excited About Kentucky's Recruitment

Korvotney Barber, a 6-foot-7, 220-pound forward from Manchester High School in Georgia, told <i>Inside Kentucky</i> that he is likely to make a decision after he takes his in home visits and his trip to Kentucky.

"I am visiting Kentucky for Midnight Madness," Korvotney Barber said. "I am looking forward to seeing the campus. I haven't been there yet."

Barber, who is also showing interest in Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia, plans on having an in home visit with Alabama on September 12. "I am also having Auburn in on September 11th," Barber said. "I haven't set one up yet with Georgia or Kentucky."

Kovotney has already taken unofficial visits to Georgia and Auburn. "I enjoyed the visits," he said. "I learned a lot about the schools. But I have more to take."

Including the trip to Lexington for Midnight Madness. "Should be a lot of fun," he said. "I like Kentucky because they always seem to win every year. And winning is important to me."

Barber, who already has been in school for four weeks, stated he felt like he improved his individual game over the past year. "I think I made improvements in all parts of my game," he said. "I think I improved my perimeter game. My strength is also very good. I just want a chance to play as a freshman. I think I can do that at any school I choose."

The selection of his school is likely to come in mid to late October. "I want to go to a school where I am comfortable with the coach and the players," he said. "I feel comfortable with all of them."

Barber said he has enjoyed his phone conversations with Tubby Smith. "Coach Smith is a great coach and a great guy," Barber said. "I spoke to him last week. He's cool."

Barber has mentioned previously he planned on visiting Georgia and Auburn, and maybe Florida State
