Alabama offers Smith something LSU does not.
"Alabama is my leader because of playing time. I can go in there and play early."
Friend and three star athlete, Desmond Jennings, is also high on the Tide, but is waiting to see if Alabama will allow him to play football and baseball.
"Yeah, I talked to Desmond the other night about playing together. Last time I heard, he said that Alabama said he could play both sports," said Smith. "I talked to Desmond (Jennings) the other day about going down on Saturday (to Tuscaloosa). I know he wants me to go, but I have football workouts on Saturdays and do not know if I will be able to go," added Smith.
After a great performance in a win over Etowah last week, Smith is hoping for an outstanding game as Clay-Chalkville hosts Tuscaloosa County.
"I had a good game at Etowah. It was good to go out there and win the first game. We play Tuscaloosa County this week at Home. They have (David) McCants. We are going to have to stop him for us to win. Our defense looked good last week. We have looked good this week in practice, so we should be able to," said Smith.
Smith will try to attend some other games this season and is still uncertain when about a time frame for his decision..
"I know I am going to go to the Alabama/Auburn game. I probably will go to a couple LSU games. I am going to go to the Auburn/LSU game. Right now, I really don't know when I will make my decision," Smith said.
