Trevor Ariza, 6-6 JR SF, Los Angeles (Calif.) Westchester, is one of the hottest juniors on the west coast, and probably improved his stock the most dramatically after last summer.

As a result, Ariza has some pretty big names who are in recruiting trail. In October, Ariza attended North Carolina's Midnight Madness.

"It was cool," Ariza said of the visit to North Carolina. "Some fans chanted my name, and they had a jersey made up with my name on it."

Ariza said the schools he's interested in are North Carolina, Florida, Duke, Kentucky, Louisville and Arizona, even though he said there could be more added at any time. Ariza said all the schools mentioned have already offered him a scholarship.

Growing up, Ariza said his favorite school was Florida. "I'm from there. I came to California in 1994. My dad played at Florida and all my family is in Florida." Ariza's father is Kenny McClary, the wing who played at Florida in the '80s and later went on to play in the CBA and in Australia.

Ariza said he'll more than likely commit in the early signing period, next November, but will also probably take as much time as possible to decide.

He said he has a 3.1 GPA and will take the SAT for the first time in January.
