"Tim's always been a Wildcat fan," an assistant coach said. "His brother is at UK playing track and it's just a perfect fit for him and his family."
Last season, as a junior, Masthay was perfect, connecting on four of six FGs with a long of 50 yards. He earned honorable mention all-state honors. He's also one of the best receivers, currently leading his team and the state in receptions, averaging over 30 yards per catch.
In addition, he was also an all-state soccer pick, last season and plays basketball and baseball for the Tigers.
Masthay joins commitments Michael Schwindel, Curtis Pulley, Kenny Ray Turner and David Jones to the Class of 2005. Garry Williams, Trevard Lindlay, Mikhail Mabry, Johnny Williams and Myron Pryor are expected to enroll in January, as well as Jan Jorgensen in August.
