Recently honored Army All-American James McKinney was in attendance on Saturday to watch the Cats. "It was a lot of fun," McKinney said in an email. "I got to meet the number one linebacker in the nation, Tray Blackmon."

The four star recruit from Central High School in Louisville (KY) has received offers from as far away as Miami to as close as Louisville and Kentucky.

"The crowd was wild and the fans showed me a lot of love," McKinney continued.

The highly prized defensive linemen recorded 70 tackles, 9 sacks and 20 tackles for a loss last season for Central. He also caught 14 passes for 290 yards and scored two touchdowns as a Tight End. He was named 2nd team All-State by the Louisville Courier Journal.

McKinney made particular emphasis in talking about the Cats willingness to play freshmen.

"The coaches said that they will play the best players, and that they played nine freshmen (against IU)."

Kentucky is not the only school that has been "on" him hard of late. Among the schools that have called him recently, McKinney listed Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Kentucky as schools that he has been called by recently.
