UK still in the hunt for Carolina back Davis

Mike Davis is ranked as the eighteenth best running back in the country by TheInsiders and has offers to support that ranking. Davis holds close to fifteen offers.

When asked about a list of favorites, Davis replied, "No, not yet. I will probably start narrowing down a list by mid-October. I am focused on school right now. I am going to try and start making official visits in October. I don't know which schools I am going to visit yet," said Davis.

Several coaches have started calling the top running back and Davis has made a few calls as well.

"All the coaches have called me. There are just too many to name. I have tried to call a few coaches, but was unable to talk to them. They were always in a meeting or something. I tried calling coaches from Maryland, South Carolina, and Alabama."

This fall, Davis has yet to attend any D-I college games.

"I just went to a game at Newberry. I don't know if I will go to a game or not. It is just if I feel like it or not after my game on Friday nights," said Davis.

There are a few things Davis will consider before making his decision.

"I want to see how the fans are and how it is on game days. I want to get to know the coaches and the players. I will probably wait it out before I make a decision."

Davis is off to an outstanding year for his senior season.

"The season is going good. We are 2-2. I have rushed for 678 yards with nine touchdowns."
