LEXINGTON, KY. --- Kentucky's already-thin football team got a little bit thinner on Wednesday when the school announced running back Chad Scott and offensive lineman Josh Jaggers will be transferring.
Scott, a sophomore from Plant City, Fla., was an All-SEC freshman in 2000 when he rushed for 611 yards and caught 34 passes for 261 yards, but saw his production drastically decline this season due to injury and a change in the offensive scheme. He missed three games with a high ankle sprain, and finished as the Cats' third-leading rusher, slipping behind Artose Pinner and Martez Johnson with only 210 yards on 36 carries.
No announcement has been made on his planned destination for transfer.
Jaggers, a redshirt freshman from Danville, Ky., worked out at both guard and center this season, but failed to see game action with the Cats. He plans to transfer to Eastern Kentucky, where he will have three years of eligibility remaining for the Colonels.
