The following information was revealed during our interview with Earl Bennett:
What is your current height, weight, and what was your last recorded forty time? "I am 6' 1", 200. I ran a 4.41 at the Auburn camp."
Which position are you being recruited to play on the next level? "Mostly wide receiver, but some like me at safety."
What is your current bench press, squat, and vertical jump? "I have actually improved on my vertical. I am up to 36" now. I bench 295 and squat 500."
What are your strengths on the field? "I have a good knack of finding the soft spot. I feel like I am a good team leader because I play so hard."
What are you working on for the next level? "My speed."
What were your stats as a junior? "I had 827 rushing yards and 729 receiving yards. I think I had a total of 12 TD's."
Which position do you currently play? "WR and RB. Kind of like a slot back."
Did you garner any awards last season? "I was named to the Birmingham News' All-Metro and State teams."
How is your senior year going? "It is going good. I have 1, 150 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards and a total of 24 TD's."
What most have you improved on this season? "My strength and my catching ability and my leaping ability too. Last year, I was at 34" inches and now I am up to 36". I work with a trainer year round and it is showing."
Which schools are the most serious with you? "Right now, I have Kentucky, Vandy, and Ole Miss at the top of my list. Each has offered me. Those are my top 3 schools, but I have really narrowed it down to Kentucky and Ole Miss."
Been to any college games this fall? "I have only been to one, because we play a lot of our games on Saturdays. I went to the Ole Miss/Auburn game."
How did your visit go? "It was real nice down there. I love their new indoor facility. It is probably the nicest facility I have ever been in."
What most did you like about Ole Miss? "Their atmosphere is great. Their facilities are really new and nice, and I hear they have a good medical program. That is why Ole Miss is one of my leaders."
What do you like about Kentucky? "Me and Coach Brown had a good conversation. He said I could start as a freshman there. I am taking an official visit with them this weekend. From there, I will make a decision."
If you like it enough during your official visit at Kentucky; is a commitment a possibility? "Yes sir."
Have you scheduled anymore official visits? "No sir, but I am talking to Ole Miss about going in December."
What will be the factors in your decision? "I am looking for a good medical program. I want to be able to play my freshman year, if not start."
