Brown, a 5th year standout out of Mount Olive Prep in Georgia, has been to Kentucky twice – once officially and one time unofficially – but no commitment has been made.
"He enjoyed his trip and he liked the guys and the coaches," Mount Olive coach Garrick Respress said. "This was his second trip there. As for his commitment and where it stands, I have not had an opportunity to speak with he and his family. I don't have any solid information."
However, Respress did indicate that a commitment was unlikely to happen and for good reason. "I do not expect Kentucky's staff to provide him with an NLI on Wednesday."
In short, he's visited the school, is being recruited by the school but simply couldn't have committed given the fact that no offer has been made.
As it stands, UK, Illinois, Purdue and Georgia are in the mix with Auburn trying to call on him as well; none have offered. "Georgia and Illinois have done a phenomenal job. If it goes late like I expect, Purdue will be in there too."
