Boyd Coleman, a 5-foot-11 cornerback prospect from Marietta (Ga.), has caught the attention of many schools across the country since the conclusion of his season.
As a junior, Coleman had four interceptions for the Wheeler High School Wildcats. He ran the shuttle in 4.35 seconds and has a 33.5 inch vertical jump to go along with his extremely fast 40 time of 4.35.
"I re-scheduled my Kentucky visit - as I told you before," Coleman continued. "I am not sure what the date is - but I know they are playing Kansas that weekend."
Georgia is allegedly the dark horse in the competition to get Coleman's commitment, but Boyd downplayed the Dawgs' interest.
"They are still there," he explained. "But they haven't offered and I am not gonna wait around for them to decide."
The 170-pound athlete also boasts a 285-pound bench press and 405-pound squat. He has been projected as a safety/cornerback prospect.
As for leaders, Coleman insists he is still very much "wide open" in the process - and even very much open to schools that have not offered.
"I am still looking through all the options," Coleman said. "You only get five (visits)." Among the options in additio to the Cats, the 5-foot-11 cornerback is looking to set visits with North Carolina, NC State, and Wisconsin - as well as Minnesota. Miami of Ohio is still a possibility as well.
