"He committed to Kentucky Saturday," said Steve Duncan of his son Zipp . "We went to Vanderbilt for the Tennessee game, and on the way back home, it was the first time we had the chance to talk about it, and he said Kentucky was where he wanted to go, and Good Lord Willing, that's where he is going to be."
The timing of Duncan's football season played into his decision this weekend as well.
"We just got beat out of the playoffs, and he wanted to wait until after the season ended. He's looking forward to going to Kentucky. They have a real young team, and he wants to play in the SEC. The only way to do that and play in Kentucky, is to play for Kentucky. His sister is on a full academic scholarship, so for mom and dad, it's nice to have both of them there."
Mr. Duncan said that Zipp is up to 6-5 and 250 pounds right now and still growing. He will be physically capable of making an early impact at Kentucky next year.
