RECRUITING: Boyd Reconsiders, Won't Visit UK

After considering an invitation made by Kentucky head coach Rich Brooks during an in-home visit, Louisville commit Blake Boyd has decided against making the trip to Lexington.

After considering an invitation to make an official visit to Kentucky, made by UK head coach Rick Brooks and assistant coach Michael Gray during an in-home visit early last week, Boyd told that he won't be making the trip.

"I'm not going," Boyd said. "I just don't feel the need to visit. I just don't have any desire to."

Boyd then echoed a similar statement as he did when he committed to the Cardinals.

"Louisville's in my heart," continued Boyd, who will make his official visit to U of L in January. "That is where I want to be."

Boyd's father told Inside Kentucky Sunday night that the Madisonville star had been scheduled to officially visit Kentucky this past weekend, but a conflict with his work schedule caused him and his son to not be able to go.

He had re-scheduled his visit for January.
