Trip to UK on hold for Grinter

Louisville commitment Maurice Grinter was expected to make a visit to Lexington this weekend, did the UofL recruit make his official visit?

"I didn't go because I had a basketball game on Friday," Grinter said. "I'm looking to re-schedule it but I haven't talked to the coaches or anything yet."

Grinter, who recently welcomed U of L assistant coaches Jeff Brohm, Mike Summers and Paul Petrino into his home, said he is still committed to Louisville, despite his wanting to take the visit.

"I'm taking a visit to see Kentucky," Grinter emphasized, "but I'm set on going to Louisville. If (Kentucky) can change my mind, then I might have something to consider, but right now I'm still set on Louisville."

Grinter chose the Cards over Kentucky last June. The two-sport standout, Grinter is now spending a majority of his time on the hardwood and recently participated in the Marshall County Hoopfest. Asked how his season is going.

"It's going good, I guess," Grinter stated. "We've got a lot of young guys, so I've got to be more of a leader this year, but I'm okay with that."
