"I haven't committed yet," West Imperial Defensive Lineman, CJ Davis said. "Kentucky's gonna be the school though. I'm gonna commit before the end of the week probably. Check back with me after the holidays and I will probably have already committed."
The Wildcats, according to Davis, are recruiting him at defensive tackle. He was a four-year varsity starter for Bob Palko at West Allegheny, being named all-conference as a junior; "If that doesn't work out, then they said they would move me to offense. That would be fine, because I'm pretty good on both sides."
The Cats still are hoping, Davis will get eligible so he come in during the fall; "They said if I get eligible that I would come in the fall, if not, then I would grayshirt."
Davis' dream school Pittsburgh has fumbled around with an offer for months and if they do, it's still a strong possibility the Panther fan could change his course if they get involved. For now, CJ's a Wildcat-to-be.
[Editors Note: Because the Wildcat coaching staff has not accepted CJ's commitment, we'll still consider him uncommitted for the time being. We'll check back with him next week and see if anything has changed]
