Visit Update: Ga. DE Enjoys Visit

Quinton Wesley is a big, rangy defensive end out of Atlanta, Georgia. Wesley is a speed rush specialist that loves to hit the quarterback. Wesley took a visit up to Kentucky this weekend he came away impressed.

"The visit went good. Everything was real nice," said Quinton Wesley.

What were some of the things that stood out to Mr. Wesley?

"The environment was great. It is something I can adapt to real easy. The facilities are nice and all the coaches were cool. The depth charts are nice and I could come in and challenge for early playing time. They also have great academic support up here."

One thing that caught the Kentucky coaches was the intelligence of Wesley…

"We were watching some film and I was calling out the A, B and C gaps, the techniques and all that of their defensive scheme and they were kind of surprised by me knowing that. I know their defensive scheme very well and I could come in and be comfortable playing in it."

With that said, where is Kentucky on Wesley's list?

"They are up there in the top three. It would be Mississippi State, Kentucky and North Carolina. I would say Mississippi State may have a slight lead, but all three of those are up there."

Who hosted this Georgia defensive end?

"John Logan was my host, but I hung out with him, Andre Woodson and Glenn Holt. They were all cool."

Next on the schedule for Wesley is a trip to see Coach Croom and the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

"I will visit Mississippi State next weekend and I am really looking forward to that trip."

It stands as a three team race right now, but the Bulldogs of Mississippi State look like the team to beat for this Georgia Peach.
