Brandon Powell believes in the latter.
The 6-foot-4, 190-pound junior guard is extremely versatile, showing that he can knock down the 3-pointer, get to the basket and also defend.
``He handles the ball a lot and has great three-point range," Memphis Mitchell (Tenn.) coach Jerry Johnson said.
Powell is averaging 17 points per game this season, a far cry from his start a year ago when he didn't even score his first point until more than a handful of games into the season.
``I got off to a slow start last year," Powell said. "Coach told me to relax. I was doing everything too fast."
Powell, who attended Adidas camp this past summer and boasts a 3.0 GPA, hasn't narrowed down his list of schools yet. He rattles off a list that includes Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Mississippi, Clemson, UAB, Stanford and Indiana. Johnson said that Oklahoma, Colorado and Memphis are also in the mix.
``I'm not sure yet," Powell said. "I'm just starting to get on the map nationally, so we'll see what happens."
