Jerohn Fields, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound quarterback/athlete from Chicago (Morgan Park) committed to Indiana before the 2001 season. But Fields re-opened his recruitment after the firing of Hoosier coach Cam Cameron.
We spoke with Jerohn last week and he said he was undecided between Bowling Green and Indiana. The Hoosiers have a slight lead but there's a new development. Fields is in Lexington, Ky., this weekend on an official visit.
"Jerohn decided to visit Kentucky," said the player's mother. "He will try and make a decision by next week...
"I can't say if there's a leader or not. Bowling Green is doing a great job of recruiting Jerohn. Bowling Green and Indiana are both about four hours away. Kentucky is a little further. I'd like to be able to watch my son play."
Fields (4.5 in the 40) is a three-year starter. He rushed for 2,247 yards and 31 touchdowns in 2001.
