5-foot-10, 210 pound running back prospect Mike Davis took the short trip to visit the University of South Carolina this weekend. "It was a good visit," Davis told CUTigers.com Sunday morning.
When asked how he would rate the visit on a scale of one to ten, Davis responded, "I would probably give it an eight or nine."
How did the visit to Columbia compare with his visit to Clemson? "It goes hand and hand. I liked both of them."
Davis enjoyed his time with the South Carolina players this weekend. "I would say the highlight was the time I spent with the players. I hung around with James Thompson a good bit," said Davis.
The Columbia High standout was also able to spend a lot of time with the Gamecocks' coaching staff this weekend. "There were only four of us up so I spent a lot of time with the coaches. It went good. We talked a lot about the offensive plans."
The talented running back believes he could see early playing time at both Palmetto powers. "I would get it at both. It's kind of the same situation at both," said the four-star back.
Davis is not ready to go on record with a leader and a decision will come close to signing day. "I'm not ready to name a leader just yet. I'm still going to take the visit to Maryland next weekend. Then I will be ready to make a decision."
We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding running back from South Carolina, right up through signing day.
