Louisville RB Visits Lexington

The Wildcats have received some good news from Louisville, as one of the state's top running back prospects has scheduled an official visit for this weekend.

"My visit to Kentucky was good," Corey Goodson said to Inside Kentucky. "I didn't really know what to expect but I really liked the coaching staff and the players."

Was it a good enough visit for the talented Louisville running back to commit?

"No, I didn't commit," Goodson said, "but I did think about it. They put a lot of pressure on me to think about it this weekend."

"We went to the basketball game and saw the academic building. We got to talk to the C.A.T.S. people and they set me up with my major stuff. Then we had dinner with the coaching staff."

The biggest question perhaps involves his scholarship situation. Did the 6-foot-2, Goodson get offered by the Wildcats? "I'm waiting on a call right now to see. I think they eventually will."

Goodson currently has an offer from Bobby Petrino's Cardinals.

"I would say Kentucky is up there and is one of my top choices for sure," Goodson answered. "From the looks a things, it's a good program on the rise."

Louisville, Purdue, Tennesseee, Miami, Syracuse round out his top choices. The Western Magnet High School star will announce on signing day.
