Columbia High School
Columbia, South Carolina
The South Carolina Gamecocks had their final visit with the four-star linebacker earlier today. "I met with Coach Stockstill earlier today. It went good. We talked about the offense. We also talked about the scholarship," Davis told CUTigers.com.
Meanwhile Clemson assistant coach Brad Scott will hope to close the deal tomorrow when he travels to Columbia. "Coach Scott is coming by the school in the morning and I am still going to Maryland this weekend. I am leaving tomorrow around 1:00. I am going up by myself this time," said Davis.
The four-star running back is still not ready to go on record with his leaders, but he has narrowed down his list. "It's between two schools right now. I have not made a decision yet. I am struggling between those two. I'm not ready to say which two schools it is, but I've got it down to two," said Davis.
A Monday morning press conference at Columbia High may be held for Davis to announce his decision. "It's up in the air right now. I may make my announcement at 9:30 on Monday," added Davis.
When asked if he is glad the process is almost over, Davis responded, "I'm kind of glad, but I am also going to miss it some."
Davis continues to have plenty of support from his family and coaches. "I've been talking with my mom, dad and my coaches. All of them have been neutral. Nobody is pushing me either way. They are all just being very supportive."
We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding running back from South Carolina, right up through signing day 2005.
