Focus '06: Trigg Co.'s Jeff Adams

Trigg County has been good to the Kentucky Wildcats. One year after garnering the first commitment of the recruiting season in Kenny Ray Turner, the Wildcats are moving back to Cadiz (Ky.) to find another future "big ugly" on the offensive line.

"Jeffrey Adams is 6-foot-8 and weighs about 305 lbs," Coach Curtis Higgins of Trigg County said. "He played Offensive Tackle and Nose Guard for my team this past season. He was voted 1st Team All-Western Kentucky Conference and honorable mention All-State."

According to Coach Higgins, Adams will more then likely be a questionable qualifier.

"Jeffrey will probably be in the same boat as (UK signee) Kenny Ray Turner as far as qualifying academically," Higgins said. "His core GPA could be higher than Kenny's but he will struggle with the test."

That hasn't stopped the recruiters from sending mail and scholarship offers to Cadiz.

"He is being recruited by just about everyone, from Auburn to Notre Dame," Higgins continued. "He has not committed to anyone and will be highly recruited this next spring."
