UK's Big Blue Caravan is a time for Kentucky Wildcat fans to spend some time and "talk some trash" on the golf course with UK coaches, administrators and players. This year's edition of the Big Blue Caravan teed off at the University Club in Lexington. Hitting the links were some of UK's finest, including 1967 Masters champion Gay Brewer. So we decided to play a little "one-on-one" with some other familiar faces out on the course.

Question: Is it tougher to hit one down the fairway, or hit a 3-pointer in front of 23,000 at Rupp Arena?

Ravi Moss: Drive the fairway! Golf is a hard sport. The pros make it look easy. You can come out here and hack it around, and it's not as easy as the pros make it look at all.

Bobby Perry: That's a tough one. Probably hit the fairway. Golf is a tough game. Keeping it in the middle is tough to do.

Question: Are you a "drive for show" or "putt for dough" type of player? Rich Brooks: Putt for dough, and I'm not really doing that very well either.

Question: Who is the better golfer: Ravi Moss, Brandon Stockton or Bobby Perry?

Brandon Stockton: I'd have to say my roommate, Bobby Perry. Bobby is killing the ball.

Perry (who played golf in high school and claims to have a 5 handicap): : They are going to have to "Tiger Proof" or "Bobby Proof" the course for me. I just hit it thru the fairway and into the water down there. Maybe I need to play from the back tees and not worry about amateurs like Brandon and Ravi.

Moss: I want to check out Brandon's swing. He's not to confident. Stock is garbage!

Question: Do you get more upset when you miss a putt or an SEC official blows a call?

Mitch Barnhart: No question - blowing a call!

Brooks: Blown call by an official - hands down!

Question: I noticed you aren't hitting any balls off the tee and just putting?

Stockton: I'm a learner in progress! It's a little cold out here today, and my hands are a little cold, so I'm just using my putter. I can play some putt-putt!

Question: Do you get more nervous staring down a 5 foot putt, or hitting a clutch free throw in a big game?

Moss: Hitting that putt is pretty hard. We don't practice the putt as much as we practice free throws, so of course we're not as comfortable. I'll take the free throw over the putt any day.

Perry: Come on now! Hitting the birdie putt for this team is big! But playing for UK is more than just a thrill.

Question: Is it harder for you to hit a big putt or coach a game in the SEC?

Brooks: That's pretty close to equal, I think.

Question: Is it harder to drive it down the fairway or get funding for the new basketball practice facility?

Barnhart (who plays left-handed and uses a reverse grip when he putts): The funding is going OK right now, so it's harder to hit one down the fairway for me. The funding is going well.

Question: When Bobby won the long drive contest, did he hit it and then go and hit it again? Stockton: It seemed like it! He hit it over 300 yards. I don't know how far he hit it, but he hit that one pretty good. Perry: I could tee Brandon up and hit him! Question: You are the Athletics Director, you know you could have placed Bobby Perry on your team? Barnhart: There are things that we can trade later. We can move a score and manufacture something. Question: Is is tougher to get the "Tubby stare" or to take some heat from the guys in your foursome?

Perry: The guys are pretty tough on me. I've got some pressure on me, but when you get that eye from Tubby, you know it's all about business then.

Question: Are you getting to enjoy a little downtime right down that spring football is over?

Brooks: The only thing I'm missing today from Saturday's "Blue/White" game is the rain! I've got the wind and cold, just like the "Blue/White" game.
