"No new offers for me," Dunwoody (Ga.) High School star Chris Goode said, "just a lot of phone calls and interest from a lot of different schools."
The Dunwoody (Ga.) native had been rumored to have four scholarship offers, but says that while he's getting a lot of attention from North Carolina, Arkansas, Louisville and Georgia Tech, the Wildcats are the only one that has come through with an official letter.
"I've got some verbal offers, but Kentucky is the only school that's sent me an official offer in the mail," Goode said. "I feel alot better about the offer now that I saw their game against Louisville."
The Wildcats have set up an official visit with the 6-foot-4, 235 pound Tight End, on September 24th. That's the same weekend the Wildcats will host Urban Meyer's Florida Gators.
"They are going to open a lot of people eyes after that game," Goode said. "They should have come out with the upset. They looked a lot better and Joker loves to pass the ball to his tight end."
As a junior in a running offense, Goode caught 15 passes for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Dunwoody HS star is also a very talented basketball prospect.
"I'm looking to see some more schools," Goode said. "But if things go well, I could see myself committing to Kentucky. Of course, I'd have to come home and talk it over with my parents first. But maybe the day after, or so."
