Guardians Classic coverage announced

2005 Guardians Classic to include 14 games broadcast on the ESPN Networks

PRINCETON, N.J. (October 31, 2005) - ESPN2, ESPNU (the new 24-hour college sports network), ESPN Regional Television and ESPN 360 (the network's high speed internet sportscast) will combine to offer live broadcasts of fourteen games during the 2005 Guardians Classic. The event, which includes teams from 16 conferences, features four Regional Rounds from November 12th to 16th hosted by Iowa, Kentucky, Texas and West Virginia. The winner of each region will advance to the Championship Rounds at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City on November 21st and 22nd.

ESPN2 will broadcast the Semifinal and Championship games. ESPNU will broadcast six Regional Round games as well as the Championship Round Consolation Game. ESPN 360 will broadcast two Regional Round games from Morgantown, West Virginia. ESPN Regional Television will broadcast two Regional Round games from Iowa City, Iowa, on the Hawkeye Sports Network.
