Stevens announced tonight on a state wide syndicated radio show, entitled Kentucky Sports Radio from Scout.com affiliate Kentucky Sports Report, that he has committed to Kentucky.

"I've been pretty quiet about it for some time for the last two weeks," Stevens said. "But I am committed to Kentucky. I let the staff know a few weeks ago that I was a soft commitment and I was planning on taking my official visit, but I decided to go ahead and make it public."

The 6-foot, 170 pound wide receiver prospect from Robinson HS in Tampa (Fla.) chose the Cats over offers from Iowa State, Duke, UAB, and South Florida.

He is the 28th verbal commitment for 2006 and the 31st taken scholarship for the class of 2006. The 6-foot, 170 pound wide receiver describes himself as a Jerry Rice clone, "a guy that makes the tough catches."

The entire radio interview will be made to the public tonight, including comments from Darrell on his commitment to Kentucky and his recruitment at Kentucky Sports Report and Kentucky Sports Radio at http://www.kentuckysportsradio.com
