Tandy, a three sport star who holds a 4.0 gpa and a 26 on his ACT, was invited to the University of Kentucky for their Junior Day, but was unable to attend, because he was playing in the regional tournament, for the Colonels' basketball team. He helped lead his team to the Kentucky Sweet 16 in basketball, while making the 4A regional finals as starting quarterback for the Colonels' football team. He's currently playing baseball for Christian County as well.
At 6-foot, 175, and running the forty in the mid 4.5 range, most would think of Tandy as a pure athlete. While he is athletic, Tandy prefers to play the quarterback position in college. Whitaker says that Purdue, Western Kentucky, and Eastern Kentucky are willing to give him a look at that position. Most other colleges are looking at him as an athlete.
According to Whitaker, Tandy has no leaders at this time, but he really enjoyed his visit to Purdue, and because they've had success with smaller quarterbacks in the past, they made a strong impression on him early on.
Keith has been invited to the Nike Camp in Atlanta this summer, and he's also been invited to the Adidas Camp at the University of Tennessee.
