Tremendous 26 Announced

The Kentucky Football Coaches Assciation and the Kentucky High School Football Guide released their top 26 football prspects for the upcoming 2007 football season.

The list in the past made an effort to try and add as many teams as possible to the squad, but that criteria has since changed and now the tremendous 26 can be rightly considered arguably the best prospects in the state of Kentucky.

This year's crop of players sports nine players from the Derby City, including five of six defensive lineman on the squad. Surprisingly despite its relative success in the state high school football ranks, only one player from northern Kentucky was selected. Lexington had three representatives named.

Several groups of teammates were selected including Bowling Green's trio of Carpenter, Wallace and Moore, Fern Creek's Benzik and Lawton, Henry Clay's Gay and Boyd and Manual's Young and Ulinski.

Players of note among recruitniks and followers of the University of Kentucky and University of Louisville include Boyd of Henry Clay, Heyman of Male and Newman of PRP, all of whom sport offers from both UK and UL at this juncture. Additionally, UK has offered Fields of Frankfort and UL has offered Robey of Trinity.

The most heavily recruited member of the crop if Wallace of Bowling Green, who sports offers from Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Purdue and Cincinnati.
