Appeal to Bowl Ban has been denied by the NCAA
It was stated by the NCAA that the appeal is not a retrial, it is just a re-evaluation of the evidence that is already in place. Due to this fact, the original probational findings were upheld, which in UK's case, includes a bowl ban of one year. The NCAA cited that UK was very compliant, but the abuse by the previous regime was so severe that the sanctions should not be overturned. Although the athletics administration, as well as President Lee Todd is extremely upset with the result of the appeal, they do want to move on and accept their penalties. We at Big Blue Nation, although dissatisfied with the findings, are still behind the University 100 percent, and hope that the Football Cats can continue their upward swing in this football season.
