Will UK Pass Again on Former E-Town QB?

The debate continues to linger on with regard to former Elizabethtown (Ky.) QB Chris Todd and Kentucky.

The former E-Town gunslinger chose Texas Tech over Oklahoma and Ole Miss out of high school in 2005, predominantly because Kentucky's coaching staff centered its attention around Hopkinsville (Ky.)'s Curtis Pulley and Pittsburgh (Pa.) Bill Stull, who backed out of his verbal commitment to Kentucky for Pittsburgh only days before signing day.

The Wildcats would offer a scholarship, but Todd would eliminate the 'Cats nearly 48 hours later and just says before signing day.

Ultimately the 6-foot-2, 220 pound gunslinger would stick with his commitment from the summer of 2004 and former UK assistant coach Mike Leach at Texas Tech, where he'd play in just six games before transferring to Hutchinson (Ks.) Community College in January of 2007.

That leaves us to the ever important recruiting campaign in the class of 2008, in which the Wildcats must find a quarterback, either for the future or to add for competition for the quarterback duties post Andre Woodson.

Would Kentucky chose to add a junior college quarterback into the mix and have Pulley and Todd duke it out for the starting quarterback spot in 2008? Or will the Wildcat coaching staff choose to add another freshmen to the mix and hope a quarterback out of the Pulley, Hartline, Fidler, Lentz quartet materializes before the end of the summer of 2008?
