"I'm getting interest from Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, Indiana, Purdue, Western Kentucky and Murray," Crittenden Co. defensive lineman AJ Thompson said. "I've already been to like, six camps. I'm up at West Virginia right now for Marshall camp tomorrow."
The 6-foot-3, 275 pound two-way lineman was in Lexington for an unofficial visit for UK's lineman camp.
"I didn't do as good as I usually do," Thompson said. "I really liked Lexington, though, and I like the city. I think the coaching staff's pretty cool and the facilities are great."
The cross-town Cardinals of Louisville are also interested in the talented product that could make the move to center at the next level. An All-Western Kentucky Conference first team selection, Thompson moves well.
"I did pretty good at (Louisville) camp," Thompson said. "There coaches told me that they are gonna stay in touch with me and talk about an offer later on."
The Marion (Ky.) native is someone to watch for both in-state programs, but could also possibly end up making an early decision, as well.
"I've got good foot work," Thompson stated. "I'm good come off the ball and I'm pretty quick. I'm good at getting under people. If you run behind me, there will always be a hole."
