"It went great," said Rotnei Clarke, who has long expressed an interest in UK. "I felt really welcomed by the coaches and the fans were great. They're really passionate. I hung out with Ramon (Harris) and Jodie (Meeks) a little bit."
Clarke was unable to participate in the scrimmages held on campus because of a sore back after two consecutive camps.
In the past Clarke and Warren had mentioned that the two would like to go to college as a "package deal". Is that still the case?
"We'd obviously like to play together, because the two of us do real well on and off the court," he explained. "But I don't think we're saying that will definitely happen. I'll do what's best for me and he'll do what's best for him."
Clarke said the recent commitments secured by Coach Gillispie have not affected him much, and Coach Gillispie said he would be patient. His plan is still to narrow his list to five schools in late July or early August, take a couple of official visits and then make his decision before the start of his senior season.
He does not plan on taking any more unofficial visits in the coming weeks. Does Clarke have a favorite?
"You know, I really don't have a favorite right now," he said before pausing. "But UK will definitely be very high when I narrow things down."
