Legacy Enjoys UK Upset

Kentucky Wildcat Football Recruiting Update from Kentucky Sports Report's Rob Gidel.

Dave Ulinski Profile

Louisville (Ky.) Dupont Manual HS standout Dave Ulinski unofficially visited Commonwealth Stadium for the Wildcats annual contest with the intra-state rival Cardinals.

"It was pretty good," Ulinski said of the Bluegrass Rivalry. "It was a great game. I wasn't really surprised that (Kentucky) won. I always thought that UK was a lot better than people were giving them credit for."

An admitted fan of the University of Kentucky, Ulinski is the grandson of former UK All-American Harry Ulinski, whose name is retired in the ring of honor at Commonwealth Stadium.

With Kentucky holding the Governor's Cup for the first time since 2002, did the two-way standout decide to end his recruitment?

"I'm still gonna wait it out a little bit," Ulinski confirmed. "It was good to see the two teams compare to each other, though, on the field."

So now where does the in-state standout go from here?

"I'm gonna come down to some more games," Ulinski confirmed. "I'm gonna get back to Lexington for an official visit sometime in October for my bye week during my season."

The 6-foot-6, 275 pound offensive lineman is feeling good about his season to date, having been playing both sides of the field for Dupont Manual. This weekend will be arguably his toughest matchup to date having to take on perennial area contenders St. Xavier.
